Have you every had a cold come on so quickly that you felt fine one minute and were sick as a dog the next.  That is what happened the week of March 18th -- the best part -- we were visiting Sam and Nicole at the time. So sad...

Here are a few of "The Week of Cards" that I created for my Project Life album.  These were made using Photoshop with Jessica Sprague's Extra Elements from the Amber Edition, Turquoise Edition and Clementine Edition.

Project Life - Week of March 11

From Scrapbook Cottage to Bucca in Denver and St. Patrick's Day Boise. One short week and three states!

This week started with a visit to the Scrapbook Cottage for an all day Sunday crop. Later that week Mike and I flew to Denver for some client meetings and Saturday morning bright and early Ben and I flew to Boise to spend some time with Nicole and Sam.

Project Life -- Week of March 4th

So long February. Hello March. The beginning of March also ushers in the end of "Sugar Free February" whose demise I celebrated with a wonderful sugar cookie from Paradise Bakery!  So good. I love how the photograph makes it look like I stuck a real cookie into the page protector as a yummy treat for later!

This week we also worked on a new class project for Ben. In all we cut approximately 480 circles; 8 each of 60 sizes so his class could visualize a curve. I know how jealous you are that you couldn't be part of this special time.  Thank goodness for the Silhouette machine.

I spent more time this week playing around with Paper Camera and had a lots of fun using Jessica Sprague's digital elements to create the 4x6 "Week of March 4th" Card. This page isn't completely finished -- you can see the blank spot at the top of the left hand side -- it is waiting for Ben to get a moment to explain to us mathe-phobics exactly what the project was all about. I also used a card from Crystal Wilkerson's "Say What?" journaling card collection.

Project Life -- Week of February 26th part 1

This was such a busy week it took four pages to document.  Luping and I had a great lunch at the Montelucia Resort in Paradise Valley.  The day was so beautiful we shot photos of the grounds and even posed for a few photos ourselves.

 

Back when I was scouring the web for fun, free printables, I ran across a great website CrystalWilkerson.com. She has some great digital items and I found a great set of journaling cards called "Cards for Claire" by Crystal Wilkerson and Kristina Proffitt. This is a set of 3x4 journaling cards that are great for digital scrapbooking, traditional scrapbooking and perfect for Project Life, too! Included in this set are: · One Printable 8.5x11 PDF file · 6 PNG files of journaling cards. Check them out they are great.  The one I used is the quote by Abraham Lincoln "Most Folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be." I am also using Jessica Sprague's Turquoise Edition Digital Elements to create the "Week of" 4x6 card.

Project Life -- The Week of February 19th.

It is softball season again.  Ben's high school team ventured down to Tucson for CDO's annual Dorado Classic.

Also of note for this week is the alignment of the planets Venus, Jupiter and the moon in the night sky.

The three celestial bodies were in close proximity to each other on the nights of Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 25 and 26), forming a sky-watching treat known as a triple conjunction.

Project Life -- Week of February 26th part 2

Part two of the week of February 26th included the discovery of a fantastic app for my android phone (that apparently the rest of the world knew about a long time ago...) called Paper Camera.

This app allows you to see the world through a novel, original, stylish and captivating lens. Real time cartoon and painting effects displayed on your camera feed! You will be able to see the world through a new, original, stylish and captivating lens, have a wonder in your own home and discover how cool your world is in cartoon! I am getting so addicted to this camera and have to remember to use the regular camera!

Project Life -- Week of February 12

What better valentines gift can a girl receive than a new Kinetico soft water and R.O. water system.  I really can't believe we have lived in Phoenix for 21 years and not gotten this installed before now!

I also want to give a big shout out to "Market on the Move - the 3000 club." This organization provides a great service by rescuing the millions of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables and distribute these instead to everyone especially to the needy and hungry families deeply affected by the challenging economy we are currently in.

Project Life Week Five

Now that I have the hang of this, these pages are coming together very quickly.  It is a different mind set you have to use for this project.  You really don't want to spend a lot of time on these pages. You are not creating a "masterpiece". Also, it is a bit weird to take photos of "ordinary" daily stuff".

I have also decided now that we are past January to start using "The Week Of..." for the title and not Week ___ (fill in the blank) Thank you very much p.s. please send chocolate! It makes it easier to remember what happened if I look at the date on the calendar.  Here we are planting a new pomegranate tree in the back yard and removing an annoying crooked palm tree. Sunday was scrapbooking at Tricia's where Izzy presented home made valentines.

Project Life Week Four

Week Four -- Houston and Calculus Brownies!

I had to travel to Houston for business this week and I stayed at the wonderful Hotel Sorella in the City Center in Houston.  The City Center is business/shopping/food district similar to City North in Scottsdale -- or rather what City North hopes to be when it grows up!

Upon my return home, it was once again (has it really been a whole year) time for Ben's annual project Calculus Brownies. While I would like to say we made these from scratch, you just can't beat Ghiradelli's Brownie mix. Since my hands are now old and it is hard to pipe frosting on 5 sheet cake size pans of brownies, I used the Silhouette to cut flags with the calculus formulas printed on them.
