Get it? Ferris = Fairest! I crack myself up! This carnival themed card is for PaperCrafting Journey's Bling Challenge. By coincidence, the theme for Mo's Digital Pencil's Challenge #79 is a Carnival Hop so I am going to play along with her challenge as well!
This week's PCJ challenge is sponsored by Nikki C of Limited Runs Stamps. Hop on over to her blog and check out the cute images she has available.
My card is made from two different images. Mo's Digital Pencil's Little Smooch and Make It Crafty's Kissing Booth. When I saw the two images I just couldn't wait to use them and what better to add but lots of bling!
I combined these images in photoshop to put the woman behind the kissing booth. I printed the image on Cryogenic White paper which has a bit of sparkle to it. Then I colored the image with my copic markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E01
Hair: E07, E08, E19, E29, YR24
Blouse, ribbon and Kiss sign: B0000, B000, B12, B14, B16
Booth: R22, R24, R27, R29, R39, E29, E30, E33, E37, Y08, Y11, Y19,
Skirt and grass: YG01, YG03, YG05, YG07, YG17
The photo doesn't quite show all the bling. I have also used my Copic Spica markers to add glitter to her shirt and the kissing booth. The sign was enhanced with some gold Stickles.
Then I added lots of jewels. The red and gold jewels are meant to simulate the carnival lights and I added diamonds and gold to her jewelery for extra sparkle.
These images were super fun to use and I thought the best way to showcase them was to create an easle card. I used cardstock from Club Scrap and circus paper from Imaginisce. The cheesy sentiment is my own creation.
Join us in the challenge this week and you could win 3 images of your choice from Limited Runs Stamps!
